The Graston Technique is a form of soft tissue mobilization assisted by instruments (IASTM). It is a form of manual therapy that includes stainless steel tools for gently massaging and scraping parts of the skin to create an inflammatory response to promote healing. Many musculoskeletal impairments will respond well to this technique, including lower back pain, muscle strains, rotator cuff tears, tennis/golfers elbow, plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, etc.
